Description

This is a PDF sewing pattern and tutorial to teach you how to create these garments. YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE ANYTHING IN THE MAIL.

The Hale Half Zip is a loose and comfortable pullover that has a classic look with great seaming and details.  The dropped shoulder gives a relaxed look and easy shoulder fit. You can choose from a collar or hood to finish off the neckline.  The tutorial also gives a couple ways to finish the neckline seams so you can make it beautiful on the inside and out if you’d like.  The seaming can offer a unique look on a solid fabric or give the opportunity for fabric mixing.  Depending on the fabric you choose you can create an athletic sweatshirt or a smart sweater.

Sizes include: XXS – 6XL for the Adult V-Figure.   What’s the Adult V Figure size chart? It’s based upon the ASTM Men’s Standard Body Measurements. V Figures typically are taller, have a broader shoulder, larger bicep, straighter waist-to-hip ratio, etc. Who typically fits this chart?  Male / male presenting / non-binary / whoever feels better suited for this size chart (verses our Adult Hourglass Figure chart).  If you want to wear it, we want you to sew it with one of our patterns! Our V-Figure patterns have multiple lengths, based upon height.

  • Short is drafted for 5’6″
  • Average is drafted for 5’10”
  • Tall is drafted for 6’2″

Not only is there a bodice cut line for each height, but we’ve included separate sleeve lengths to accommodate for them as well.

Pattern options for the Hale Half Zip-V Figure include:

  • Lengths: Short/ Average / Tall
  • Necklines: Collar / Hood
  • Sleeves: Solid Sleeves / Colorblocked Sleeves
  • Kanga Pocket
  • Zipper Guard
  • Finishing Methods for Neckline and Zipper: Unfinished Seams / Binding Seams / Lined Collar and Hood

The Hale Half Zip pattern is drafted for medium weight, stable knits. Stable knits mean they are not very stretchy. The cuffs and bottom band need some stretch, other pieces are okay with only mechanical stretch.

Specific Fabric Suggestions: Sweatshirt knit, french terry, double knits, quilted knits, stretch velvets/velour/etc, fleece back athletic knit, fleece, mircofleece, stable sweater knit, cuddle fabrics, etc.
