I have only been sewing for a couple of weeks. I have a cheap Singer Start machine.
I adapted this pattern slightly by using quilting material (Pre Stitched) as the lining and stitched the piece to the fabric i was using. i then made the cap as an unlined cap using this quilted piece as my shape. I did cut the “lining”piece about 1/2 inch shorter on the base. I used a piece of light plastic from a pocket folder cover as the brim lining. after stitching together I made a length of bias tape from matching off cuts and used this to cover the seams. I found the pattern very easy to follow and if this is a testament to the rest of the patterns then I have found my happy place. I am considering adapting the pattern by making a cut out in the back panel and adding elastic to make a one size fits all hat.
