Patterns for Pirates has added a brand new feature to their newest upcoming patterns! The Layers Feature! This means you can choose to print one size, a couple, or all of them if you’d like. They will still be the “No Trim” style.
Here is a few screenshots to help you use the new feature.
As always, you will need to open and print your PDF from Adobe PDF Reader (a free download if you don’t have it yet).
This is what your screen should look like viewing the PDF pattern pieces:
Now you can print just the sizes you need and save some ink and time tracing off your size! 🙂

I can’t print it 🙁 I tried to print 3 size: large, Xlarge and XXlarge, thn it printed only the large. Then I tried to print all of the sizes, then it printed only plus 2X, plus 3X and Large, I have no idea why… Can anyone help me with this? 🙁
HI- if you email help@patternsforpirates.com we can help you figure it out. Screenshots of printing settings are very helpful!
I tried to follow these instructions and printed at 100% but something didn’t work out right. I have no indication of where the side seam cutting line is supposed to be. When I lay out my pages for the pattern pieces it looks like one big pattern piece with a crotch curve at each side. I am perplexed.
I’m not sure which pattern you’re having trouble with- but you can email help@patternsforpirates.com with some more details and they can help you get the printing/taping/etc all sorted out 🙂
This is the first time I have ever done anything like this so I am wondering how it works printing out the pattern. I know you need Adobe but does it just print on 8 1/2 x 11 paper? What is the difference between the US letter, International A4 paper and the A0 copy shop file? Thank you.
US Letter would be 8.5×11 inch paper- standard letter size paper used in the US. A4 is a bit more narrow and long and is the standard paper size in most other countries. The A0 Copy shop would be on A0 size paper (a big sheet of paper about 33x47inches) you would need to print at a copy shop/printer: http://www.patternsforpirates.com/a0-printing .
I have been searching for which Adobe PDF reader to install. Can you link the download site/ app please so I can download the correct one. After downloading 3 that did not work I’m about to give up.

I have no idea what all this means. I don’t know how to get the 2×2 inch to enlarge the pattern. I am on a laptop??
